Aladdin 3477-1: The Jinn Of Wisdom

In a futuristic Hong Kong, Aladdin, a street-smart orphan with dreams of ascending to the elite class, fixates on Princess Kamala of India. His life takes an unexpected turn when he's lured into a treacherous quest to Cambodia in search of a fabled lamp. Along for the unpredictable ride is Oomi, a homeless girl whose presence inadvertently thwarts Aladdin's every scheme.

Their journey introduces them to a captivating sage who claims to be the Jinn of Wisdom. Together, they venture into the vibrant landscapes of Thailand, where Aladdin confronts his haunting past. As they navigate narrow escapes and magical encounters, Aladdin is faced with a pivotal choice: pursue his selfish desires or embrace the unwavering loyalty of Oomi, whose devotion transcends all bounds.

Aladdin 3477-1: The Jinn Of Wisdom is the first instalment in an ambitious trilogy that pays homage to and draws heavy inspiration from Star Wars, but with a very modest budget. From viewing the impressive trailer and official website (see aladdin3477.com), expectations are high, and whilst the budget limitations do become apparent once the feature begins, the effort invested in its production are impressive, making it a question of whether this is a flaw or a quirky charm.

The visual effects may come across as exaggerated, with the wackiest  of over the top CGI and green screen, but this only adds to the fun. The practical effects complement the digital work and compete the set. Speaking of sets, wow! How much effort has been put into the design featuring multiple locations, hats off to everyone involved for this, along with the costume and props department, truly impressive.

Aladdin 3477-1 does trundle along at a good old pace with the film benefiting from excellent editing and a perfect score, with the fight choreography of the highest quality adding to the value. At this point, a special mention should go to Lin Zy, who portrays Oomi, a mute character who speaks volumes without saying a word. Her performance IS beyond her words and heartfelt, Oomi is sure to steal your heart.  And whilst you may fall in love with Oomi, a crush will definitely be on the horizon for R2-D.......sorry, Fidgi. With it's CD player head and troublesome characteristic's, this crush will turn into a love affair as the series develops. If Fidgi has the ability to play Rick Astley CD's, best go hat shopping!

Aladdin 3477-1: The Jinn Of Wisdom, is a mad bonkers idea, and a wild and unpredictable ride that won't be for everyone, especially those who aren’t fans of low budget indie films with cheesy effects. But if that’s your thing, this could be a delightful addition to your cinematic galaxy. Bring on part 2! But not before the end of these credits.........

Now, time to check out some merchandise! What was that website again?
